A Blauvelt man completed a NYC Marathon 22 months after fighting for his life from rare autoimmune disease

Tim Ehardt may have finished the New York City Marathon, but 22 months ago he was fighting for his life after being diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome.

After months of recovery and rehabilitation, Ehardt was running. He said a marathon was his ultimate goal.

It’s a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the nervous system. It left him temporarily bedridden, unable to walk and talk.
