Ballarat has one of the football pitches in the A-League, the competitions’ players have revealed.

The only pitches with a lower overall quality rating are the Sydney Cricket Ground and Stadium Australia, with one-star ratings.

The Professional Footballers Associations’ annual report rated Mars Stadium two out of five stars for overall quality and two stars for atmosphere.
