Signage and staff will be in place to help redirect the flow of traffic.
Sidewalks leading to the main entrance will be open in both directions, except for a short period of approximately one hour needed to prepare surfaces. During this brief period, pedestrian traffic will be rerouted around the sidewalk, the release said.
The release said the paving project will give the main entrance a new and improved look and enhanced experience for patients and visitors.
Additionally, the emergency department entrance has reopened to vehicle traffic.
According to a news release, preparation and paving will continue through Saturday. The driveway at the main entrance will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration. Patients who normally use this area for pick-up and drop-off will need to use the gift shop entrance, which is just to the north of the main entrance, the release said.
The gift shop entrance will be open for 24-hour access during the paving process, and screeners will be in place.
