Nate Ford will oversee all day-to-day operations and patient care and quality at the 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital at 3 Western Hills Drive. Ford’s appointment was effective Nov. 15.

Ford joined Encompass Health in June 2012 as a nurse and later nurse supervisor and chief nursing officer at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, Ala.

He most recently served as CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shelby County in Pelham, Ala. In this role, he rebuilt the leadership team, enhanced hospital culture and staff engagement, and improved key operational performance indicators, while also managing challenges presented by the global COVID pandemic.

In 2018, Ford joined the leadership team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga, Tenn., where he served as associate administrator at the 50-bed hospital.

Ford completed his associate degree in nursing from Chattahoochee Valley Community College and his bachelor’s and master’s in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Illinois.
