In November last year, reports claimed that Obsidian Entertainment was also working on an unannounced investigative RPG called Pentiment, allegedly being worked on by a small team of a dozen people, led by director Josh Sawyer (known for having directed the likes of Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and its sequel).
Of course, nothing has been explicitly said, but there’s a good chance that Pentiment gets unveiled at the showcase in a little over a week from now. Whether other Obsidian games will also be at the show remains to be seen.
Josh Sawyer of Obsidian Entertainment appears to be implying that his game would be announced during the expo, despite rumors claiming he’s directing an investigative RPG named Pentiment. Obsidian Entertainment has to be one of, if not the busiest, Xbox developers out there. Grounded, an early access survival game, is still being worked on behind the scenes, with a 1.0 release in the works, while Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 are still in the works. However, the studio may have additional projects in the works.
Now, it looks like Pentiment might be on the verge of being unveiled. Sawyer recently took to Twitter to retweet Microsoft’s tweet about the upcoming Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, which is set for June 12, and cheekily seemed to indicate that something of interest to him (and those that follow his work) might want to tune into the show.
