Amanda Naipo had 16 kills, four digs and a block as the Baldwin High School girls volleyball completed an unbeaten regular season with a five-set victory over Maui High on Monday night at the Izumi “Shine” Matsui Athletic Center in Kahului.

Ku’ulei Manaois added seven kills, four blocks and two aces, and setter Lilinoe Paschoal had 41 assists, five digs, three aces, two kills and a block for Baldwin, who will be the No. 1 seed for next week’s Maui Interscholastic League Division I tournament at Kamehameha Maui.

Maui High holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over Lahainaluna, while Kamehameha Maui holds the tiebreaker over Maui High.

With the loss, Maui High fell to 5-6 and into a three-way tie with Lahainaluna and Kamehameha for the No. 2 seed heading into Wednesday’s final slate of regular-season matches. The Sabers host King Kekau­like, while the Lunas and Warriors play in Pukalani.

  • Faith Alvior posted a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs as the Bears (12-0) rallied from a 2-1 deficit to edge the Sabers 24-26, 28-26, 20-25, 25-23, 15-7.

On Monday night, the Warriors gained control of their own destiny with a 25-9, 26-24, 23-25, 25-14 victory over Na Alii (1-10) at the King Kekaulike Gym.

Jacqi Brandon led Kamehameha with 14 kills and two aces. Makamae Kaili Kramer added six kills and two aces, Amaya Genovia had four kills, Leimana Purdy posted 30 assists, four digs and three aces, and Ka’ena Cervantes finished with six digs and three assists for the Warriors.
