ESCANABA — Dave Lord, president, OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group, will resigned effective January 7, 2022. Kelly Jefferson, vice president of operations, has been named interim president during the transition.

Under Lord’s leadership within OSF HealthCare, some key accomplishments include:

– Collaborated with a local developer to design and construct a replacement OSF Medical Group clinic in Gladstone, which includes primary care, occupational health, sports medicine, imaging and rehabilitation services.

– Led the efforts to secure philanthropic support enabling the design, construction, and operation of the John & Melissa Besse Physical Rehabilitation & Wellness Center on the OSF St. Francis campus.

  • Lord joined OSF HealthCare in 1996. He served within the IT division for eight years, was vice president of operations for nine years, and was named president in 2013. “I had the opportunity and privilege to serve the community where I grew up, while living out the Mission of our Sisters,” he said.

– Led the establishment of a master facility plan in collaboration with Ministry Services that included the renovation and enhancement of the oncology suite and services and the development of new and expanded laboratory and pharmacy.

– Nurtured several strategic partnerships with community and health care organizations including the formalized, mature relationships with UP Health for cardiology services, Advanced Center for Orthopedics for orthopedic services, Green Bay Oncology for cancer care, Sound Anesthesia for expanded anesthesia services, and Central Illinois Radiology Associates for professional radiology services.

Lord is married to Kristin and they have three children: Kaitlyn, Nathan and Andrew. Lord looks forward to spending more time with family participating in activities in the Upper Peninsula, where they were born and raised. Jefferson has been with OSF HealthCare since 1998, joining the Ministry as a registered nurse at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center and OSF Medical Group before becoming a six sigma black belt for OSF Medical Group. She took on a six sigma role at OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group and then became vice president of operations. Jefferson and her husband, Brett, have a daughter, Olivia.
