The game is currently in its eleventh season, with Season 12 set to start on 8th February 2022. The PS5 version could well be part of that new content rollout. Apex Legends is one of a few popular live-service titles that haven’t made the jump to PS5 natively just yet. If recent findings from the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account are to be trusted, a native PlayStation 5 version of Apex Legends will be released soon. Respawn Entertainment has never stated that such a thing is in the works, although job listings from April 2020 indicated that it had such ambitions.
