The bank further said that it is a routine exercise for every bank to realign, shift, merge, close or open branches on regular basis to achieve corporate business objectives. ”We assure our esteemed customers and all other stakeholders that their interest is well protected,” it added.
The state-run Central Bank of India said on Saturday that no decision has been made to close a substantial number of branches this fiscal year. It is, nonetheless, standard procedure to realign or relocate branches. “We now inform that no decision has been made as of now to close a substantial number of branches during FY 2022-23,” the Central Bank of India said in response to media stories on branch closures.
